On February 3rd, the County of San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors approved a resolution proclaiming February 2015 Children’s Dental Health Month.  The resolution was read by Supervisor Lynn Compton, who herself is the daughter of a retired dentist.  Members of the Central Coast Dental Society, Central Coast Dental Hygienists Society, and the Oral Health Coalition were present in the audience.  The resolution
encouraged all parents to take their children in for regular dental appointments.  During the month of February school nurses, oral health providers, and other partners will collaborate to provide free dental screenings in schools and free dental care at “Give Kids a Smile” events throughout the county.
