Partnership for the Children Board of Directors appointed Andi Livingood DMD to the position of dental director for Tolosa Children’s Dental Center, effective July 1, 2015.  Dr. Livingood takes the place of Dr. Jimmy Forester who served as dental director since 2012.  Dr Forester opened his private office in San Luis Obispo last year, but still works part-time at TCDC.

Dr. Livingood is a pediatric specialist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and has worked at Tolosa Children’s Dental Center since July 2013.  As Dental Director, Dr. Livingood is responsible for all clinical aspects related to the delivery of dental care at Tolosa Children’s Dental Center.

Dr. Livingood graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Religious Studies, and attended dental school at Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health while earning her MPH at the same time.  She completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio before joining the staff at Tolosa Children’s Dental Center in July 2013.

Dr. Livingood earned the title of Diplomate of the American Board Pediatric Dentistry earlier this year, a certification that demonstrates a pediatric dentist’s pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence.  The process involves a written qualifying examination and an oral clinical examination covering all areas of information on which a pediatric dentist should be knowledgeable. Certification is awarded for a time-limited period and must be renewed annually to maintain board certified status.
